{"product_id":"9781902302898","title":"Walks Around Coed y Brenin","description":"Coed y Brenin, the King’s Forest, covers some 9000 acres north of Dolgellau in Gwynedd and is managed by Forestry Commission Wales on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government. The forest straddles the Eden, Gain, Mawddach and Wen rivers and is bisected by the main A470 road between Dolgellau and Trawsfynydd. Although still a working forest, Coed y Brenin was designated a forest park during the 1990s and is now famed for its cycling trails and other recreational facilities. A well designed Visitor Centre and café was opened north of Ganllwyd, just off the A470, in 2006.\nThis book is intended to complement the network of walking trails in Coed y Brenin already waymarked by Forestry Commission Wales. The area is renowned for its spectacular mountain scenery (the wild Rhinog mountains lie to the west of the forest and the remote peaks of Dduallt and Rhobell Fawr to the east), its river valleys with their rapids and waterfalls, its gold mines and its remote farms. The Roman road, Sarn Helen, passes through the forest on its way between the forts at Tomen y Mur, near Trawsfynydd, and Brithdir, near Dolgellau. In addition, the attractive village of Ganllwyd lies at the centre of the park.","brand":"Michael Burnett","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51959387783432,"sku":"9781902302898","price":5.95,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0945\/8519\/2712\/files\/9781902302898.jpg?v=1770799237","url":"https:\/\/www.ffolio.wales\/products\/9781902302898","provider":"ffolio.wales","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
